All working premises, including commercial or not for profit premises require a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) in order to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Failure to have one breaks the law and could result in the responsible person in the company receiving a fine, or in some of the worst cases a prison sentence.
The importance of carrying out an FRA is critical as it is a means of protecting the lives within a premise but will also assist to a lesser extent in protecting the building itself. The importance of having a fully qualified Fire Risk Assessor to undertake this activity cannot be underestimated. In the event of a fire one of the documents to be inspected by the Fire Brigade is the FRA and if it is proved inadequate heavy fines could well be placed on the premises but more recently insurances have been made invalid putting some companies out of business. In the worst cases where deaths have occurred the responsible persons have been imprisoned. Fire Safety cannot be underestimated for any business.

The Fire Risk Assessment
When requesting our services we will contact you and arrange a convenient time for an inspection. On attendance on site we will meet you or your representative and we will require some time with you asking questions and getting a greater understanding of the use of the premises and the companies activities. This will then be coupled with a full site inspection where detailed notes will be taken.
The Report
After completion of the Fire Risk Assessment a report will be completed detailing all of the findings and especially noting any areas of concern or rectification to ensure you are fully up to date with current regulations. This will be sent to you in hard and soft copy for your use. At this point we would only be too happy to assist with further questions you may have.
